WordPress brought this post to my attention, and I think it bears repeating that ignoring our differences doesn’t make them go away. It also bears repeating that the solution to racism and any other “ism” has never been and will never be rooted in the sovereignty or sufficiency of mankind. And finally, I will say it again and again that while I grew up poor and am no longer poor, I will never say that I have “done well for myself” or worked myself out of poverty. I was lifted by the grace of God out of dumpsters deeper than digging for change to pay for our next meal. Every day of my life has been nothing short of a miracle, even (especially?) the ones I thought I wasn’t good enough to be here for.
